Grand Opening Ceremony

The official opening ceremony kicks off the 21st IFAC World Congress on Monday, July 13, at 13:00 (Berlin time, CEST/UTC+2h). It offers a unique start into the conference week including the first performance ever of the IFAC Control Orchestra consisting of musicians only from our community. Next to short welcome addresses of the IFAC President and the General Chair, the IPC Co-Chairs will introduce you to the events and activities throughout the congress week. Moreover, in a virtual awards ceremony, the three major medal awards and the IFAC advisor appointments will be presented.


Closing Ceremony

The official program ends with the closing ceremony on Friday, July 17th, at 15:00 (CEST). In addition to concluding the congress and containing short speeches by the congress organizers and the outgoing IFAC President, the IFAC Control Orchestra will perform another masterpiece. There will also be an awards ceremony where, among others, the remaining major awards, the IFAC Fellows, the journal awards, and the congress awards will be presented. Finally, the newly elected incoming IFAC President will deliver his inaugural speech and an outlook will be given to the 22nd IFAC World Congress organized by our Japanese friends.
